NSW Time Attack Round Up

What can I say about that! But wow! Inxile has successfully made it to Wakefield and back, and almost without a hiccup. I managed to finish preparing the car Friday lunch time, at which point the long drive to Canberra began.

Leaving work Friday, Let the drive begin.
After a 6 hour non stop stint of which the last three hours had been the super boring Hume highway I was glad to stop and take on fuel at Gundagai but the race was not over and it was back in the drivers seat for another 200km to my overnight stay in Canberra.
Fuel stop, Gundadai,
Parliment House
After a short sleep the drive to Wakefield Park began. Via the breakfast of champions of course.

Finally there. And no I didn't ask for garage 32, as I'm sure James from Grumble Bee Motorsport did't ask for garage 31.

Not the most amount of photos taken during the day. And with the crew side of things a little light, it was more about having some fun than collecting data. The car had been good on the drive up but was just not 100% on the track. Power wasn't there and in the final session of the day an electrical gremlin jumped on board.

A days best of 1.17 :/
time for a ice cream :)

Well if I leave now I can get back to Parliament house for photo!

From there it was back to my mates for tea and a night on the town. Little did I know that night would be ending at 5 am. A quick four hours sleep and it was back in the car, next stop Melbourne.

Sunday night and I am still driving, not long now though.

And HOME.

Well it made it. Over 2000km clocked up in 3 days. I guess it is a grand tourer after all.
Not sure I will be doing it again in a hurry, but was well worth it. Just hope VIC time attack is back on the calender next year.
